Elizabeth & James decided to tie the knot in Ravello, as they were looking for an intimate cosy place to have their Catholic marriage in Italy. The idea of proposing the 12th century Church in Ravello soon came to our minds and it was just perfect to them! Located a few meters walking distance from the main square, it can be reached by the charming narrow roads that make this village absolutely unique.
Simply decorated in white, burgundy and pink flowers, the Church impressed their guests with its beauty and simplicity.
The afternoon Service was gently accompanied by violin & cello musicians.
Well, even if they got married in August when the chance of rain is very low, some clouds got surprisingly dark and then the rain framed the whole day, with its magical atmosphere. The way we see it in Italy: rain on your wedding day is good luck!!!
After the wedding, we invited the guests out to the Church entrance to get ready for the confetti throw. Actually, there was a basket of real soft rose petals to welcome the newlyweds, according to tradition!
Then, all together, they enjoyed their first toast as Husband&Wife in the main square - it was time to relax with drinks and a beautiful setting, before reaching the Beach Club along the Amalfi Coast and having their reception there.
Not an ordinary beach location, this amazing spot overlooks the clear sea water of Amalfi, in perfect harmony between man and nature. A stunning cliff nested in the charming Costiera, creating an intimate and secluded atmosphere.
The reception was held under its sheltered terrace, due to the capricious weather, but still keeping its beauty and romance, enjoying the local fine cuisine, accompanied by the sound of the waves.
Table decor was with different size vases and candles, with a touch of white, burgundy & pink, matching the colour scheme - in addition to the classic sun loungers & sofas of its garden area.
Hanging bulb lights were the icing on the cake, and shed all around....
